Algerian state energy firm Sonatrach and the Spanish energy group Naturgy signed an agreement relating to the sale and purchase contracts of natural gas linking the two companies through the Medgaz gas pipeline.
The deal is a revision of existing contracts which will see gas prices adjusted in light of market developments, thus ensuring the balance of their contracts on a win-win basis.
The signing of this agreement strengthens the long-standing partnership between Sonatrach and Naturgy and aims to consolidate their positions on the Spanish market, according to a Sonatrach release.
The two companies have also agreed to continue discussions on topics of mutual interest in 2023.
