Sonatrach, Algeria’s state-run energy firm, has a new leader in Amine Mazouzi. The government named Mazouzi to replace Said Sahnoun who had been appointed interim chief executive less than a year ago.
Mazouzi comes from Sonatrach’s production development department and is the fifth chief in as many years.
The appointment follows the reshuffle of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s cabinet, which included the naming of a new energy minister, Salah Khebri.
