Sonatrach, Algeria’s state-run oil and gas firm, launched a bidding round for the construction of six compressor stations. The bidding round is for the pre-qualification of firms for the estimated $1-billion project.
The compressor stations are part of Sonatrach’s multi-billion expansion of its pipeline network, which includes compression and pumping stations.
The compression and pumping stations are expected to be constructed over the next four years to help Algeria increase production at new gas fields in the southern region of the country.
