Sonatrach Looking to ExxonMobil on Shale

Sonatrach is looking to garner ExxonMobil’s assistance in exploiting its shale gas potential. According to the company’s chief executive, Abdelmoumen Ould Kaddour, the Algerian state-run firm is seeking cooperation with the US for on shale “and more”.

Kaddour made his comments while visiting the In Salah gas field.

Kaddour gave details of his long-term strategy targeting $67 billion in additional revenues by 2030 and improving discoveries to reach 100 million metric tons of oil equivalent per year.
