Sonatrach Plans Big Investment

Sonatrach says it will invest $56 billion between 2018 and 2022 in Algeria’s energy sector. The news came from the state-run firm’s chief executive, AbdelmoumenOuldKaddour.

“We will give more details very soon,”Kaddour said while speaking to reporters during a visit to the HassiR’mel gas field.

The chief executive also commented on the start of flows from the new gas pipeline that takes the production from southwestern fields including the Reggane North, Touat and Timimoun fields saying, “We are so proud of this project because it has been constructed 100% by Algerian firms.”
