Sonatrach and its Norwegian partner Equinor signed a Memorandum of Understanding in order to examine cooperation opportunities in the fields of exploration and production of hydrocarbons in Algeria and abroad, the protection of the environment, new technologies and operational performance.
The signing of this protocol aims to strengthen the existing partnership between Sonatrach and Equinor, through the search for new cooperation opportunities upstream on existing and / or new projects, as well as in other areas, such as reduction greenhouse gas emissions and carbon management, industrial safety management, the implementation of technologies to improve the recovery of hydrocarbons, and the development of an efficient oil operations management model.
The company Sonatrach is present in Algeria since 2004. She is a partner with Sonatrach and BP on deposits operating in In Salah and In Amenas, and is a partner of Sonatrach on the perimeter exploration Timissit.
