CNPC and the government of Niger’s SORAZ Refinery will meet yearly capacity targets for 2013. According to CNPC 397,000 tons of crude was processed at the refinery in H1, which will allow for it to keep on track to meet its year-end production targets.
SORAZ, Niger’s sole refinery, is aiming to refine 800,000 tons of crude this year.
The refinery did not meet its production targets last year. Output from CNPC’s Agadem wells failed to meet expectations, leaving SORAZ operating below capacity.
