A Shell unit in Nigeria, SPDC, saw one of its facilities attacked in the Niger Delta. Police in the Imo state confirmed the attack on SPDC’s facilities.
One source told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the attack came at 5:30 on the morning of June 23 and reported an explosion that created a great deal of flame. It is unclear as to whether anyone was injured or killed in the explosion.
A SPDC spokesperson said the attack is being investigated and according to NAN no group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
