Swala Sees 2D Survey Launch in Tanzania

Swala Energy Ltd. launched its 2D seismic acquisition program over the Kilosa Basin in the Kilosa-Kilombero license in southern Tanzania earlier this month. The work is being carried out by Polaris International.

Swala’s 65% owned subsidiary Swala Oil and Gas (Tanzania) Ltd. and JV partner Otto Energy are acquiring around 100 km of 2D seismic over the coming weeks and the data will be processed as the survey progresses.

The program is designed to identify the main structural lineation in the basins and has the potential to identify structural leads for follow-up infill seismic and/or possible drilling.
