Libya’s Es Sider port saw an oil tanker dock to load the first cargo of crude out of the port in two years.Es Sider reopened in September after being under a blockade by a military faction since 2014.
The port had to undergo repairs before tankers could load. While the first cargo being loaded is a positive for Libya’s flailing exports, Es Sider is still not at its pre-conflict capacity of 350,000 bpd.
A second tanker is expected to load before the end of the month.
