Tanzania, the UK Increase Bilateral Relations

Tanzania and the UK launched a new prosperity partnership to increase trade and investment, supporting the East African country’s development, and generating employment opportunities.

The UK Minister for Africa, Mark Simmonds, said that a high level prosperity partnership discussion with president Jakaya Kikwete also agreed that the partnership will focus on oil and gas, renewable energy, agriculture, and the business environment. Simmonds said that the UK considers Tanzania to be one of its key partners in the continent.
