Technip Selected for Feasibility Study in Egypt

Technip was the winner of a tender for a feasibility study to incorporate two new production units for diesel, naphtha, and fuel oils at Alexandria Mineral Oils Company’s (AMOC) complex in Alexandria, reported Egypt’s al-Mal.

The contract falls within the framework of the Ministry’s strategy for the development of production units at refineries to boost the production of petroleum products for the domestic market.

Technip will receive $635,000 in expenses for the study, said Mohammed Al-Sardi, the Director of Financial Management and Investor Relations at AMOC, in the al-Mal report.

The feasibility study is expected to take 11 months and have four stages, covering diverse aspects such as economic and technical feasibility and marketability. Following the completion of the study construction is likely to start during Q4 2016.
