State-run oil and gas firm, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), launched the tendering process for work on the $10 billion Bonga South West/Aparo (BSWA) deepwater project. The company and its partners have invited prospective bidders to tender for the project.
The BSWA, when fully online, will add an estimated 225,000 bpd to Nigeria’s daily totals. This is expected to happen by 2022.
The development of the project is expected to boost Nigerian local content, with many of the contracts going out to local firms. Nigerian and international companies on the agreed bid list are requested to bid for the various contract packages that make up engineering, procurement and construction of the BSWA project.
The tenders will allow the partners to take a final investment decision on the project.
