The Sudans Meet to Discuss Restarts

The oil ministers of the two Sudans met to discuss the industry at large. South Sudan’s Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth met with Azhari Abdul-Gadir Abdalla, Minister of Petroleum and Gas of Sudan, at his office on June 5.

The ministers discussed the immediate resumption of oil production at the oilfields operated by Greater Pioneer Operating Company (GPOC) and Sudd Petroleum Operating Company (SPOC), the uncapping of block 5A, and the increase of oil production at the oilfields of Dar Petroleum Operating Company (DPOC).

The two ministers committed themselves to ensure that the resumption and increase of oil production is realized
