Rida Issa, spokesman for the Libyan forces was cited by Reuters as saying that the Libyan troops have secured all the buildings and streets in the Ghiza Bahriya. This is the area of Sirte that was the last hold out for Daesh fighters.

“We still need to secure the area around Sirte,” he said. A number of Daesh fighters escaped from Sirte periodically and before the battle.
