Tullow Looks for Partners in Ghana Bid

Tullow is looking to team up with firms interested in acquiring one of the oil blocks put on the market by Ghana in its first oil licencing round.

According to Kweku Awotwi, Tullow’s in country MD, the Irish firm is looking to partner with both international and local firms.

Tullow already holds stakes in two producing fields offshore the country. Currently the company is responsible for a total of about 160,000 bpd, Awotwi told reporters in Accra.

“We are looking for both local and international companies to partner with in the bidding rounds and we’ve spoken to a number of them,” he said.
