Tullow Oil revealed that gas exports from the Jubilee field offshore Ghana to the Ghana Gas plant at Atuabo was suspended July 3. The flows from the Jubilee to the Atuabo plant were halted due to technical issues with the gas compression system on the FPSO Kwame Nkrumah.
The company expects gas to be flowing to the plant by mid-August. Oil production is currently constrained to approximately 65,000 bpd and is under constant review but there is no effect on the field’s reservoir or resources.
Tullow mobilized a team of experts to rectify the fault within the gas compression system and estimates that it will take about three weeks to reinstate gas export and full oil production.
