Libya has lost the last foreign airline willing to fly into Misrata, Turkish Airlines. Turkish Airlines suspended its flights to Misrata over concerns about the worsening security situation in the country, the company said on January 5.
Turkey’s flag carrier cancelled its Istanbul to Misrata flights on January 4, but had not yet taken a decision on other flights to Libya. The airline also flies into the cities of Benghazi, Tripoli, and Sebha.
