Two ENI workers are dead in Nigeria after the boat transporting them in Nigeria was attacked by unknown militants. The attack took place on June 29.
The militants attacked the boat when it was on its way to a well site near Nembe. Three ENI workers escaped and two were initially missing but their bodies were found two days later.
While the militant group Niger Delta Avengers has been actively attacking oil facilities in the Niger Delta, they have not claimed responsibility as yet. They had claimed responsibility for a number of attacks in the region over the weekend on its Twitter page, which has since been suspended by the social media site including attacks on Chevron and NPDC facilities.
