Tuesday, January 30, 2018

President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda, announced that the government plans to turn to foreign experts to train workers in its oil industry. Museveni was speaking at a forum organized by the Uganda Chamber of Mines and Petroleum when he revealed the latest plans.

According to the President, outside help is needed because of Uganda’s acute lack of local skills in all areas of the oil sector. He said that measures will be taken quickly in this direction, so that skills can be available as early as 2020, the year in which oil production is launched in the country.
