Wednesday, November 6, 2019

Uganda’s Minister for Energy and Minerals and her delegation are promoting the country’s second licensing round at Africa Oil Week in Cape Town, South Africa.

The round includes five blocks in the Albertine Graben. These blocks are the Avivi, the Omuka, Kasuruban, Turaco, and Ngaji. The blocks cover 1026 sq km, 750 sq km, 1285 sq km, 635 sq km and 1,230 sq km respectively

The Request for Qualification (RFQ), was recently extended from November 22, 2019 to December 31, 2019, in order to allow interested parties additional time to review the available data for these highly prospective blocks.

The Minister and her delegation will next be attending the Africa Investment Forum in Johannesburg on from November 10-13 where Uganda’s Oil Refinery will also be high on the agenda.
