Ugandan authorities claim that officials uncovered an “imminent” attack coordinated by Somalia’s militant group Al Shabab.
Security forces claim that the attack was planned for the Ugandan capital, Kampala, via a so-called “terrorist cell” located in the city. “Joint security agencies in Uganda have foiled a terrorist attempt at one of its installations … we have made arrests,” Fred Enanga, police spokesman told the AFP news agency.
