Ugandan Minister Says Production Licenses Ready

The Ugandan government plans on issuing some long awaited for production licenses before the end of June. In an interview with the Daily Monitor, Peter Lokeris, State Minister for Minerals, said that both Tullow Oil and Total E&P would receive their respective production licenses this month.

“Everything is set. Before the end of the month, we shall issue licenses for six blocks. At the moment, I cannot divulge more details but just know that Tullow and Total will be those we shall sign agreement with,” Lokeris said during the interview.
