Monday, November 16, 2015

Uganda saw the board of the National Petroleum Authority and National Oil Company inaugurated near the end of October. The inauguration of these two bodies should lead to Tullow Oil and its partners in the country see production licenses awarded.

According to Tullow, with the pre-requisite institutions now in place the awards should be made “soon”.

The company also said that it is working with the governments of Uganda and Kenya on fulfilling the conditions set out in the bilateral agreement reached between the Presidents of Uganda and Kenya for the adoption of the Northern Kenya route for the regional crude oil pipeline.
