US Pump Prices on the Rise

Gas prices across the US are on the rise and many average Americans are wondering why they are paying more at the pump. According to a recently released survey, the price of gasoline has risen 5% or about $0.13 over the past two weeks.

While the increase is not a big one and brings prices nowhere near where they were a year ago, consumers are wondering what is behind the upward trend and if it will continue as the US gears up for summer vacation time. The increase in gas prices is easily explained. Light Crude Oil is trading roughly $3.00 per barrel up from prices two weeks ago.
