Valaris was awarded new contracts and saw one contract extended recently. The contract extended was for work in North Africa, while a new award came out of West Africa.
In Egypt the VALARIS DS-7 contract with Burullus offshore Egypt was extended by approximately 165 days from October 2019 to mid-March 2020 due to the exercise of three one-well options.
Burullus is a JV company comprised of state-run EGPC, Shell (formerly BG), and Petronas. The company operates the West Delta Deep Marine.
In West Africa Valaris was awarded a contract for use of its VALARIS DS-4. The contract is with Amni offshore Ghana for one well. The well is expected to commence in early March 2020, with an estimated duration of 50 days.
