In a positive turn of events for Libya’s beleagured oil and gas industry, the country saw a key oil field come back onstream. Production at the Waha oil field can now be added to Libya’s crude stream, bringing overall prduction in the country to 580,000 bpd.
The field is one of the main contributors for the major Es Sider export grade. It is the first Es Sider field to resume and was producing 50,000 bpd as of October 18.
