Agreement Demonstrates Company’s Engineering Capabilities
Dubai, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (30 June. 2019) – Weir Oil & Gas Dubai announced it has signed a contract in UAE with a major UAE-based oil and gas operator that secures the provision of rotating equipment rehabilitation services to support the client’s operations.
The contract will allow Weir’s customer to improve reliability and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) on high-pressure and low-pressure compressors installed on an offshore platform, through the redesigning and re-manufacturing of critical aero components via Weir Advance Parts Solution process.
Weir Oil & Gas’ capabilities in UAE, positive past and existing contract performance with the client, re-engineering capabilities and a comprehensive international facility near the customer’s sites were all key elements in securing the latest contract. This contract further consolidates Weir’s Rig-to-Grid capabilities in the Middle East.
In the Eastern Hemisphere region, Weir Oil & Gas provides in-country support and service through Centers of Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence, which allow the company to manufacture and distribute rotating equipment parts and wellhead equipment faster due to its close proximity to operators in the region.
