Welwitschia-1A Drilling Restarts

Drilling of the Welwitschia-1A well offshore Namibia, which has been suspended since May 19, has now restarted.

Tower Resources, a partner in the well, reported that the operator Repsol restarted drilling on the morning of June 4. Drilling was halted after experiencing problems with drillship’s subsea systems.

The well is being drilled by the Rowan Renaissance drillship.
