Germany’s Wintershall has restarted some production in Libya, helping boost the country’s struggling production numbers. The company reopened the taps at its As Sarah field on Concession 96.

According to a Bloomberg report the German firm is currently adding 35,000 bpd to Libya’s export capacity. Reports from NOC have the North African country’s output rising to 485,000 bpd.

The restart at As Sarah was at the request of NOC. The crude produced will be sent to the Zueitina terminal for export.
