Wintershall to Resume Libya Program

German firm Wintershall has reached an agreement with the National Oil Corp. (NOC) of Libya that will see it resume production while the pair seek to come to agreement on a longer-term solution to their contract dispute.

In the meantime, Wintershall can resume production on its NC96 and NC 97 concessions in the eastern part of the country, which could bring up to 160,000 bpd back online when fully restarted.
