Wood Group GTS awarded one-year maintenance support contract in the Southern North Sea
Wood Group GTS has been awarded an initial one-year contract by Centrica Storage Ltd to provide maintenance and support services for three TB5000 gas turbine generators in the Southern North Sea.
Wood Group GTS will provide both preventative and corrective maintenance solutions for Centrica Storage’s Rough platform. The contract will include the provision of specialist manpower for routine maintenance activities and unscheduled events, inspection kits and the supply of both original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and Wood Group’s own range of APM® spare parts, technical support and troubleshooting services, and spares inventory management.
“Wood Group GTS has the ability to manage the full scope of our TB5000 maintenance services and their proven track record, along with their flexible approach were key factors in awarding the contract,” said Richard Stokes, Maintenance Manager for Centrica Storage Ltd. “The opening of their new facility in Lincoln, close to Humberside Airport, will help ensure the availability of local field service technicians, enabling us to maximize the uptime and efficiency of our rotating equipment.”
“Wood Group GTS is committed to optimizing the performance of the client’s turbo-machinery assets through their life cycle,” said George Gaudette, President of Wood Group GTS – OGIS. “Our customer focused solutions will help Centrica Storage Ltd minimize risk and maximize the availability of their rotating equipment.”
