Workers Still Missing after Libyan Oil Field Attack

Five workers who went unaccounted for after the attack at the Al Mabrook field in Libya are still missing. The attack on the field took place on February 3 and left 12 people dead.

Three of the missing workers are said to be Filipino. The Philippines embassy in Libya said they are believed to be kidnapped and it is in close contact with SOGEPI SRL which employed the men.

Mabrouk Zway, Minister of Oil and Gas of the Tripoli-based administration, said that two other employeesremained unaccounted for, whether they were from Nigeria or Niger was unclear.

Of the employees who escaped reports have the attackers stealing everything from the site and setting fire to parts of the camp.
