While news has Anadarko seeing its field development plan being approved by the government of Mozambique for its LNG project, it is not the only LNG project in the country making the news. According to ExxonMobil,its LNG project in partnership with ENI should advance shortly.
At the LNGA conference in Singapore last week Frank Kretschmer, the company’s senior VP for LNG marketing in Asia Pacific said Exxon Mobil expects to advance“pretty soon” on Mozambique’s huge LNG export potential, “We are presently in discussion with our partners on marketing arrangements and we will move forward pretty soon,” Kretschmer told Reuters.
The company bought into ENI’s massive Area 4 resources last year, taking a 25% stake for $2.8 billion.
