Year-on-Year Flows Up in Algeria

Tuesday, November 15, 2016

Algeria has increased its oil production by 100,000 bpd as of July, according to a statement issued November 13 by the country’s state-run oil and gas firm Sonatrach. The statement said that crude oil production from January to October in 2016 increased 8% year-on-year.

That production figure is set to rise as new plants come onstream. The company expects the third train from the In Amenas plant back online prior to year end and the CAFC perimeter of the Menzel Ledjmet is expected to add 10,000 bpd to the country’s totals.

By the end of Q3 Sonatrach and the international firms operating in the country had made 28 discoveries.
