Zenith Nears PSC Signing with Benin

Canadian independent Zenith Energy has issued an update on its Block 1, Sèmè Field in Benin.

Zenith says that it is currently performing the necessary legal and technical work in coordination with the Ministry of Water and Mines of the Republic of Benin for the finalization of a Production Sharing Contract for Block 1 containing the Sèmè oilfield, offshore Benin.

In January, the Ministry of Water and Mines of the Republic of Benin awarded Zenith an exclusivity period of three months to negotiate and finalize the terms of a PSC for the asset which it made an offer for in September 2022.
