Natural gas production from Egypt’s giant Zohr field, operated by Italian major ENI, has reached a natural gas production capacity of 3 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d), according to the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, in a press release.
The Zohr field, the largest gas discovery ever made in Egypt and in the Mediterranean Sea, is located within the offshore Shorouk Block. In August 2019 the production from Zohr field had reached more than 2.7 Bcf/d, about five months ahead of the Plan of Development.
